COSTA MESA, CA, June 1, 2009 — MegaPath, Inc., the leading provider of managed IP data, voice, and security services in North America, announced today that in Q1 2009 its Managed SSL VPN services hit the milestones of 300,000 users, more than 3.5 billion sessions and 100 terabytes (TBs) of data transferred per month. According to a recent report from Forrester Research, more than 34 million US adults telecommute at least occasionally and it is estimated that US telecommuting ranks will be 63 million by 2016.[*] Increased broadband adoption, better collaboration tools, and growing management experience are all contributing to this growth.

This service addresses situations where the primary data center is still operational, but a business requires additional capacity due to a temporary spike in remote users because of an event that keep employees offsite.
  • Retail Site SSL: Enables a retail owner or franchisee to access systems located in their stores and restaurants such as Point-of-Sale applications.
