SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- January 20, 2009-- Overtone, Inc. today announced that technology industry veteran Russell Wirth has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Sales and member of the executive team.

Wirth brings over 20 year’s experience ramping up growth and market penetration for early stage companies in new information, media and analytics segments. Most recently, Wirth was Senior Vice President of Sales at PopularMedia, a Sequoia Capital backed start up providing SaaS viral marketing services.
Previously, as Vice President of Sales at Coremetrics, Wirth oversaw revenue growth from $4 to $45 million and an increase in customers from 100 to over 1,000 in the span of 4 years. Coremetrics provides web analytics to leading multi-channel businesses including JC Penney, Staples, Bank of America and many others.
Wirth also served as Vice President of Business Development at IRI Software, a Nielson competitor, and headed up sales for business intelligence software provider Crystal Decisions, where he built and led the western region field sales team.
