Businesses Can Boost Bandwidth While Slashing Costs with New Promotions from Airband Communications

Fixed Wireless Provider Offers Cost Savings for Customers Switching from Bonded T1 Services

DALLAS – Jan. 14, 2009  Airband Communications Inc., the industry’s leading fixed-wireless company for businesses in the United States, today announced its winter “3-6-9” Mbps promotion, offering businesses significant savings over bonded T1 services by switching to Airband’s high-bandwidth offerings.

Until Feb. 15, 2009, new business customers in Airband’s 14 markets can purchase fixed-wireless Internet access services in bonded T1 increments at a substantial discount: 3 Mbps for $499 per month; 6 Mbps for $699 per month; and 9 Mbps for $999 per month.

Existing Airband customers who have less than 9 Mbps can easily upgrade their bandwidth at significantly affordable prices with Airband’s “Get-The-Bandwidth” promotion.  Through Feb. 15, 2009, current customers can increase their bandwidth up to a total of 9 Mbps, with each additional 1 Mbps increments costing $125 per Mbps per month.  Some restrictions apply for both promotions, including contract term lengths.  With Airband’s fixed-wireless broadband services, businesses can eliminate T1 bonding charges, equipment upgrades, and long installation times that are typical with establishing or upgrading T1 connections.  Airband service is delivered via an Ethernet handoff, allowing customers to connect directly to their company’s LAN.  Customers can have service installed quickly rather than weeks of waiting, and bandwidth can be easily increased without up-front capital investment or incremental equipment upgrades.

“With the current economy, companies are looking for ways to reduce cost, yet continue to grow,” said Mark Spagnolo, president and CEO of Airband.  “Our aggressive pricing promotions enable companies to reduce their costs and increase bandwidth by switching to or upgrading with Airband.” Focused exclusively on businesses, Airband owns and operates the leading fixed-wireless network that offers the scalability, reliability and exceptional customer service that is hard to match by traditional wireline service providers.  Airband’s fixed-wireless network bypasses the local wireline infrastructure for last-mile connectivity so its services are fast to install, extremely scalable and affordable.  As a primary or failover connectivity service, Airband can quickly and securely deliver relevant solutions that today’s companies need, such as high-speed data, Voice over IP, and other managed services.

Airband operates in 14 major U.S. markets: Atlanta; Austin, TX; Baltimore; Charlotte, N.C.; Dallas/Fort Worth; Greensboro, N.C.; Houston; Los Angeles; Orange County, CA; Philadelphia; Phoenix; Raleigh/Durham, N.C., San Antonio and San Diego.  The company offers its fixed-wireless broadband on both licensed and licensed-exempt spectrums. For more information about this promotion and other services, please visit the Airband Web site at www.airband.com.
